Adam Towle, Mountaineer - Victor, Idaho
I have been mountaineering for almost 12 years. Living in the Tetons of Wyoming allows me quick access to the high peaks and great adventure. Over the years I have become highly involved with Alpinism, that is climbing fast and light to minimize the danger of being exposed to various hazards of the mountains for long periods of time. I travel as light as possible when climbing, which also means minimal amount of gear and provisions for a climb. This past July, my climbing partner and I set our sights on Mount Moran's exposed northeast ridge.
Never having climbed Mt. Moran's long, exposed northeast ridge our plan was to
climb up to 10,000 feet the first day therefore putting us in position to climb
the remaining 2,600 feet to the summit the following day. I took minimal of food
and a stove to melt snow to keep the load to a minimum. I also took along a
packet of 5 Special Ops Combat Endurance capsules to give them a try on what
would be a long, stressful and tiring climb. I was a little skeptical, but
considering the fact that the capsules weigh next to nothing, I brought them
along.
The climb to our bivouac wasn't technical, but involved a great deal of bushwhacking and steep strenuous hiking. We were pretty tired and dehydrated when the sun went down on us high on the ridge. The next morning we had very little water for breakfast so I opted on taking the capsules on an empty stomach as directed and chased them with the remaining water. We started climbing at 7:00 am, through some tricky technical spots requiring ropes, ice axes and much care as we moved along the ridge into the higher altitudes. Normally I experience a heightened burn in my calves from the lactic acid buildup and thinner air above 10,000 feet but on this day, that seemed to be absent. My partner was definitely feeling the effect of muscle fatigue and climbing slower. Up we went, through vertical chimneys, snow and ice fields, crack less slabs and scary traverses, route finding was difficult, and the hours rolled by as we slowly gained altitude.
Totally involved in the climb I forgot to bother to snack as I was more concerned with finding the proper route to the top. My energy level however, remained high and my attention sharp. Around 3pm after 8 hours of continuous climbing, we reached the summit (12,600 feet) under a gorgeous sky. No time to relax though since we now had to descend 6,000 feet to the valley floor and Leigh Lake where our canoe was stashed. The return back involved 2000 feet of down climbing and rappels on the intimidating CC face above the falling ice glacier. I took a couple of more capsules of Special Ops Nutrition Combat Endurance and headed down with utmost care. This is where the adventure really begins.
Once we reached the base of the face I noticed I was feeling great!. My legs weren't burning, my heart rate and breathing were normal considering the exertion.
Going down is often quicker, but hard on the knees and quads. No problem this day as I felt like I still had strength left and down we went. Its was 10 pm and a couple of hours from the lake. With 3 miles in the moonless night back to the car I had to load the canoe and then drive an hour home but something was missing, the massive fatigue that comes on after the adrenaline wears off was absent! I was tired, but alert, fully ready to take on the final challenge of getting us home with my partner snoring in the passenger seat as we pulled into the driveway at 1:30 am!
It had been a 19 hour day, climbed 26000 technical feet with full packs, descended 6,000, and paddled 3 miles. The next day I awoke with sore knees and shoulders, and a full night of work ahead of me (I'm a bartender in a busy bar and restaurant) and was scheduled to work until 2 am. Normally this can be more painful than actually climbing all day, but I readily took a pack of Combat Endurance caps, and lo and behold, my calves and thighs didn't burn and ache that night! in fact , I felt great!
I couldn't believe it. As an Alpinist specializing in high fast mountain ascents. I found the product to be perfect for my needs. Combat Endurance weighs nothing, but packs a major punch to help me get to the top. The following week I made the capsules part of my climb up the Grand Tetons ( 7,000 vertical feet) which we climbed in only nine hours! the result was the same, less burn at altitude, and a rapid recovery the next day so I could work effectively. Now
I plan on taking the capsules on every climb, part of my Alpinist approach. Kudos to Special Ops Nutrition!

I really could have used this product on my deployed to Iraq. I was a member of the 2nd Battalion 7th Marine Division, Weapons Company, Surveillance and Target Acquisition Platoon during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Long hours of surveillance and constant monotonous vigilance takes it toll on the mind and body and usually leads itself to boredom and can make anyone lackadaisical. I believe many of the injuries and deaths of Soldiers and Marines have been due to the fact that fatigue makes us drop our guard and when the enemy sees us at this week point they launch their ambush. Ask any Soldier or Marine that has been in firefights; ask them what mind set they were in right before the fight? To me it seems that every firefight happens when it is least expected. The reason for this is because the enemy is able to pick which fights he wants to be in and usually those are the fights they know they have the upper hand.
Many of the missions that I endured where 3 days long with a small team of 2-3 Marines someone has to be awake and aware at all times it becomes very difficult to have a sustained attention span. Not only did I have to fight the enemy, and the intense heat, but I had to fight my own fatigue. Many times I would take stimulants or caffeine pills and sometimes I would grab the little coffee packs that are provided in our MRE’s (ready to eat meals) I would open the pack of ground coffee and poor it in my mouth and follow it by a big swig of water to wash it down. I would do this just to keep myself awake.
I don’t recommend doing this, once the stimulants where off you have a debilitating crash on an already over taxed mind and body which can lead to poor judgment. Also stimulants dehydrate the body, in an environment where dehydration takes many U.S. casualties it is not good to compound the threat of dehydration by taking stimulants.
I recommend Special Ops Nutrition and their product Combat Endurance it is a supplement that I use now. I believe in this product, it provides me with endurance, mental alertness and it fights fatigue, with no stimulants. I like it because it seems to works with my body it helps me work to my potential. I just wish I had known of this product or something like it when I was serving in Iraq..
Rusty Jeffers, Competitive Bodybuilder
I've been a competitive bodybuilder since I was a teenager and I've been an IFBB professional bodybuilder for the last 5 years. I've been training for 30+ years and I've taken my share of supplements through out that time. Combat Endurance is by far the best endurance formula I've ever used and I highly recommend it to my clients and anyone else who has serious physical goals. My wife and I use it regularly as it gives us the energy for early morning workouts without having to resort to caffeine or sugar. Combat Endurance is EASILY one of the best supplements on the market today.

For the sake of security I won&'t mention my name. I am a U.S. Navy Seal, on the West Coast. I met Carey at a wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he introduced his product to me. As most people tend to be, I was skeptical; but I decided to give it a try, and it was amazing.
I wanted to give it a test to see the difference it would make compared to a normal day without it. My test simply consisted of a half-marathon run. On a Monday, after a morning workout, a long day at work, and before dinner, I went out for a 13 1/2 mile run. Things went well, but I definitely felt sluggish and dehydrated towards the end of the run. (Of course there weren't those helpful aid stations handing me water every three miles.) My average heart rate for maintaining pace throughout the run was 149 bpm. I ran the race in 1 hour, 41 minutes.
The following Monday, with the same conditions, a morning workout, a long day at work, and before dinner; except this time I took the Special Ops Combat Endurance, with very different results. My average heart rate was much higher, although this worried me, I felt good. I decided to keep pace and finish my run. The entire run went really well. I ended with the feeling that I could go much farther than my typical 13.5 miles. To my amazement though, I understood why my average bpm was higher. I was running much faster than I did the previous week. I took almost 7 minutes off my time, not to mention the fact that I felt like I could hold that pace for a much longer distance.
The results were absolutely amazing to me, but that isn’t the best part. The following day my legs weren't sluggish, sore, or even achy. This drink also aided in recovery, which, to the best of my knowledge, is the first of it’s kind.
Imagine a product that not only aids you during your workout, but also in your recovery. That is the experience that I had with your product. Thanks for everything.

When using this product I’ve noticed an increase in energy and a decrease in swelling. I have also noticed an increase in recovery after the games. Although no supplement is a cure-all to making an elite athlete, I believe this supplement can only benefit your performance.

I just wanted to let you know how much your product has helped me. I have been taking it faithfully for one month now and it is amazing. I'm hooked! I'm a 43 year old woman who wants the body back I had years ago. I have been working out and using your product. I'm seeing results so quickly. I have a super workout when I take Combat Endurance. Only once did I not take it before working out and I could see a big difference in my endurance. I could hardly make it through my normal workout routine. (in fact I wasn't able to finish my normal routine that day) I take it everyday and I feel good all day. It's a great feeling not to be tired all the time. It just makes you feel good. Thanks so much for the product. Like I said, I'm hooked.
Sincerely,
Kimberly

I was amazed with the results. During my workouts I was able to lift and lift. I hadn’t worked out that hard in a long time. After the workout I still had plenty of energy to go for a long run. My partner even made the comment, ‘What got into you today?’ My recovery time was also reduced to an incredible rate. I have used numerous products to supplement my workout through the years and none have done what your product did for me during and the days after my workouts.

Rick Stratton, Pro Motorcycle Racer
I’m 48 years old with 12 years of experience as a pro motorcycle road racer. I have won 99 races and 7 class championships through 2004. I have also been a road racing instructor for the past 4 years. Road racing is full of young fit men eager and capable of beating men of my age regardless of experience.
For the past year I have been using Special Ops and it has given me back my competitive edge. During a typical instructional day at the racetrack I will put up to 300 miles, on my bike, in 5 hours of intense racing. Special Ops has worked absolute wonders for me by reducing my muscle fatigue to near zero, speeding my recovery time, and raising my energy level. Special Ops is unlike any energy or nutritional supplement I have ever tried, (and I have tried dozens). It works evenly throughout the day. It doesn’t suddenly give you so much energy you can’t focus, and then crash you back to earth when you need it most.
At my age and level of experience, it becomes difficult to find ways to improve and lower my lap times. I have never been as fast as I am now. I have lowered my lap times by 3%, the same motorcycle, the same racecourses. Stop watches do not lie. With my increased energy I am able to do more to improve my racing because I am not worn out after a few laps. This product is so good I find myself reluctant to even tell my closest competitors.
If you are looking for an edge, intensify your physical training by using Special Ops Combat Endurance. I am the sales mgr at North Valley Honda in Phoenix, Arizona and I would be happy to indorse your product.
Lana Caldwell, Nurse and Fitness Addict
I am addicted to exercise and am constantly trying to achieve new levels in my

I’m running four miles a day, in incredible heat, lifting heavy for two hours and one and a half hours of boxing and hitting the pads, almost every day. Plus, doing all the stuff we do anyway on deployment. I really do love the product. The heat is a huge drain, but I had more energy than I ever had without it. Normally boxing takes me out in a couple rounds, I went longer than I ever had with the stuff in me.

Eric Fishman - Avid Sports Enthusiast
I’m an ardent motorcycle rider, surfer and kayaker, and I’m no spring chicken. The energy levels I maintained during my various sports activities were incredible. My fatigue was down, and my muscles could endure far more strenuous workouts. My knees, which are usually sore after a long day of play, were not giving me any trouble. I recommend this product to any sports enthusiast.

Mark Ledesma - Professional AMA Superbike/Superbike Rider
As a professional motorcycle
road racer, I have tried many different products to increase stamina, prevent arm pump, and speed up recovery. A pro event spans over four days requiring at least four 60 minute sessions of intense physical riding each day.
Before Combat Endurance, I would struggle with muscle soreness after the very first day. Also, my energy level would go up and down not only affecting my stamina, but my mental sharpness. After Combat Endurance, my soreness and recovery time is cut in half. Overall, my energy and mental clarity stays constant throughout the day.
Now, after three days of practice and qualifying, I am ready to race on Sunday (instead of wanting a day off). I recommend Carey’s product to anyone who is serious about physical and mental performance. This product WILL help you.

Dear Carey,
As per our phone conversation last week, I wanted to follow up with a note of thanks and appreciation for your support of this year’s Teva US Mountain Running Team.
The feedback I received from our athletes regarding SpecialOps was very positive. I spoke to several team members to include Simon Gutierrez, Anita Ortiz, Kelli Lusk, and Paul Low who all had positive comments about SpecialOps. Every one of this year’s team members expressed their thanks to me for your support of the team in providing both financial and product support to the 2003 team. I hope that team members have contacted you individually with their comments.
I hope that our mountain team can continue a relationship with you in 2004 and beyond.
Best,

Bill Field, Professional Racing Cyclist, Jackson Hole, WY
I took the endurance formula before a particular demanding road bike ride covering 80 miles with over 7,000 feet of vertical climbing over three mountain passes. Having done this ride several times before, by the final climb, my legs are usually pretty ‘dead,’ with a very heavy feeling in them. However, on this day my legs still felt fresh with plenty of snap. I easily spun my way to the top, leaving my partner in disbelief. Better yet, the following day my legs felt totally refreshed, with no lingering soreness.

Barry Hatchett, Surfer
I’m a 38-year-old avid surfer, ocean kayaker, and scuba diver. I spend a great deal of time in the water. Surfing is my main activity. I usually find that after a couple of hours surfing I begin to fatigue. While using Special OPS Nutrition drink I’ve noticed my energy level is more consistent and my endurance is up. I can double my time in the water and feel less fatigue.
Thank you.

Just wanted to say Wow! Amazing! Special OPS Nutrition drink is fantastic. I took a sample packet before my 14-mile marathon training run and the next day I woke up with no pain at all. I was able to workout my legs with heavier weight than normal. Your stuff is great! I can’t wait to be able to use it on a regular basis..

Jim M. Rives, Professional Security & Law Enforcement Trainer
During my daily workout I found that my stamina had noticeably increased allowing me to enjoy a longer than usual workout. The usual muscle fatigue that I experience with that length of a workout was greatly diminished. The only thing that I did differently was the consumption of your product 30 minutes before my normal workout. I feel that your product would be beneficial to recruits in training and in tactical situations where quick energy and stamina are required. The convenience of a ready mix product that works, goes without saying. Thank you for letting me be one of the first people to try it.

I have researched many supplements, meal replacements and power bars on the market. I found only a few of them that stand out as quality products I would recommend. The Special OPS Endurance Formula definitely stands out. While using the formula I trained harder and recovered faster. I appreciate your fine products and your patriotic efforts Carey.

Life can be demanding at times, adding a triathlete’s training schedule to it can really stretch you thin. For me recovery from my training is the key, if I’m recovered it’s easy to motivate and have quality training. The fact that using your supplement has my legs feeling better training and speeds my recovery is exciting. I can now pursue my triathlon and nordic skiing goals and still have the energy for my family and career.

The Combat Endurance formula is the first supplement I have used that doesn’t give you increased energy at the beginning of the workout, then leave you hanging at the end. For the first time in my life I was able to work two separate body parts during the same workout without the second body part suffering. I support this product, not only because it works, but also because the theory behind it is strong. (Zeen holds a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology)

I'm a 34-year old studio electrician in training for an agility test with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed that it takes me longer than it did before to recover from tough workouts. Your product has helped me to recover much faster, which is a huge plus when every workout counts. Not only has the endurance drink helped to ensure that every workout is maximized, but I perform grueling leg and endurance workouts for longer periods of time, and with noticeably less fatigue.

"Combat Endurance has helped me reach new heights with my tennis game. I am able to practice longer, work harder, and am able to recover so much quicker than I ever have with any other supplement. And now on match/playing days, I'm no longer worried about cramping or how long I can last in extreme heat conditions. I am able to trust my body, and trust in combat endurance."

Justin Fitzpatrick, Professional Tennis Coach - Phoenix, AZ
As a professional tennis coach for 14 years, I have seen a lot of great products do great things for my players but none of them can approach the level of Combat Endurance. The ability of CE to help eliminate lactic acid build up in an athlete is critical for their ability to perform at a high level day after day. My players love the natural energy they receive from the product without any crashes or side effects. It is vastly superior to anything else they have used, which is no surprise when you consider the integrity of the man who started the company. I admire Carey Lindley for his effort to bring the public and the military such a fantastic product. It's amazing to see someone like Carey actually give back so much of his money to those in the armed forces who need as much help as they can get!
